Ready or not, a brand new day, (a new week, a new month) is here :-)
I know you may be eager to jump out of bed and get ready for work because you have so much to do today… But this is a friendly reminder to practice taking care of yourself first. Right now just take
the next 5-10 minutes to count your blessings and set your intention for your day. You can take longer if you have the time. It’s ideal to focus on just this one thing. And even better if you can write in a journal. Perhaps one on your smartphone so you can access it no matter where you are during the day. Complete the following statements: I Am Grateful For…(name a person who you’re most thankful for in the last 24 hours and why) I Am Grateful For…(consider what you’ve accomplished, someone you helped, a personal breakthrough) I Am Grateful For…(envision a goal as if you’ve already accomplished it. Example. I am grateful for the extra $5,000 I’ve created monthly from my side business or I am grateful for my brand new beautiful blue Tesla Model S.) And now, set an intention for the day. Complete this statement: I Am Committed To… Examples: I am committed to not skipping a healthy lunch today despite my To-Do List. I am committed to being completely present with the people I encounter today. I am committed to making three phone calls today to help increase my sales.
As you go throughout the day, things can change that can ‘throw you off.’ And that’s ok.
The most important thing is to train your mind to honor yourself first :-)
